How Packaging News Daily is made, what it covers and what it does not do.

What this is

Packaging News Daily reports every morning on the global packaging sector: fibre, rigid metal and glass, speciality plastics, labels, speciality paper and the forestry groups behind them. Companies are covered in three ways. Core companies are researched actively: an agent searches for news on each of them every night. Followed companies are other packaging companies; we do not search for them but pick up what they publish and what the press reports. The ecosystem is everyone else who appears in packaging news, customers, suppliers, regulators, associations, investors and researchers, and we record what is published about them.

Made by AI

Every story on this site is written by artificial intelligence, without a human writer or editor. Each night AI agents built on Anthropic's Claude models read public sources in six languages: company press releases and filings, trade press, general business news and regulators. They link every item to the companies involved, write a summary and key facts in their own words, and tag it with the topics it touches. A second, independent AI agent checks every story against its sources before publication, and nothing is published that cannot be traced to a source. The publisher (human) sets the rules, decides which companies belong in the directory and reviews the method; the publisher does not write or approve individual stories, and AI can make mistakes. Read every story with that in mind and follow the source links.

It does not reproduce articles. Every story links to its sources and shows the source's name; the text is ours. It does not give investment advice: the site is information only, without warranty of completeness, and nothing on it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.

Corrections

If a story is wrong, write to hello@packagingnewsdaily.com. Corrections are made in the story and noted at its foot. Publishers who do not want their material read by the agent can ask at the same address.
