Braskem, 3M and MagSac launch recycled-resin flexible packaging in Brazil

Braskem has partnered with 3M and converter MagSac Embalagens to launch flexible packaging containing 50% post-consumer recycled resin from Braskem's Wenew portfolio, used for 3M's 1100 and 1110 ear plug products. The companies say the packaging cuts carbon footprint by an estimated 24% versus virgin resin and enables use of about 180 tonnes per year of recycled material, with the partners describing it as the first such solution in Latin America.
