Schwartauer Werke's Gen Z jam packaging wins Red Dot Award 2026
German jam maker Schwartauer Werke's new brand The Jam has won the Red Dot Award 2026 in the packaging design category. The design, developed with agency Berndt+Partner Creality, uses a minimalist glass jar with direct printing instead of a paper label, aimed at winning back Generation Z consumers. The product launched in stores in June 2026 in four varieties, 220g jars, with 60 per cent fruit content and about 39 per cent less sugar than conventional jam.
Why this mattersShows brand owners using glass jar redesign and direct printing to differentiate on shelf, a template other food brands may follow for younger consumers.
