Bucher Emhart Glass folds automation unit into core business

Bucher Emhart Glass has integrated Bucher Automation Tettnang, formerly known as Futronic, into its organisation. The glass-forming machinery maker says the move combines its automation subsidiary's process-control and digital expertise with its own manufacturing and service network to offer customers a single partner for controls, mechanical work and turnkey retrofits.

Why this mattersConsolidating controls and mechanical expertise under one roof lets Bucher Emhart Glass pitch integrated retrofit and hot-end/cold-end service deals against rival glass-forming machinery suppliers.

  • Bucher Emhart Glass has integrated Bucher Automation Tettnang, previously branded Futronic, into its company structure.
  • The combined unit brings together automation, process control and digital solutions with Bucher Emhart Glass's forming machinery and global service network.
  • Controls, mechanical expertise and service will sit together within Bucher Emhart Glass, offering customers one partner for turnkey retrofit projects and hot-end and cold-end solutions.
  • Daniel Schippan, President of Bucher Emhart Glass, commented on the integration.
  • The announcement followed Bucher Emhart Glass's presence at the Glasstec trade fair in October 2026.
