Sun Chemical wins RecyClass certification for NC-alternative flexible packaging inks
Sun Chemical obtained RecyClass certification in March 2026 for its solvent-based nitrocellulose-alternative ink system for flexible packaging. The company pairs its SunUno SoliCycle polyurethane-based inks with RecyClass-certified SunLam lamination adhesives, offering converters a single-source recyclable packaging structure. Sun Chemical sources polyurethane resin through parent DIC and its Sapici unit, acquired in 2022.
