Fuji Seal France has opened consultation with staff representatives over a plan to shut its sole production site, in Fougerolles-Saint-Valbert, by spring 2027. The plant, which prints shrink-sleeve decorative labels, employs 50 people and is the Japanese group's only manufacturing base in France.

Japanese printer Seki has approved construction of a new water-based flexographic printing and converting plant in Toon, Ehime Prefecture, at an estimated cost of JPY 4.3bn (USD 27.3m). The facility will produce flexible packaging such as food bags and beverage labels, with construction starting in February 2027 and operations due to begin in April 2028.
