Herma adds optional cutting system to AutoSplicer labelling unit
Herma has launched an optional cutting system for its AutoSplicer roll-change unit, extending automated, uninterrupted roll changes to label rolls whose web is firmly attached to the core. The AutoSplicer also gains a new HMI and GUI for machine control, and Herma cites a calculation showing manual roll changes can cost over 350 hours of downtime a year in a three-shift operation.
