Mensing to build EUR 22m big-bag recycling plant in Germany
Mensing Gruppe plans to build a recycling plant for used polypropylene big bags in Hohenwestedt, Schleswig-Holstein, at an investment of around EUR 22m (USD 25m). The plant is due to start at the end of 2028 with about 17,000 tonnes a year of PP regranulate, with infrastructure designed from the outset for a later expansion to 35,000 tonnes a year.
Why this mattersA plant sized from the outset for 35,000 tonnes a year adds dedicated German capacity to turn used PP big bags, an industrial packaging waste stream, into regranulate from 2028.
