Polysmart opens USD 60m rPET recycling plant in Nigeria
Polysmart Packaging, a Nigerian-owned recycler, has officially opened its expanded USD 60m recycling facility in Nigeria, which its chairman described as Africa's largest food-grade recycled PET plant. At full capacity it will process 100,000 tonnes of mixed plastics a year, equivalent to about 6.5 billion PET bottles. The company plans a network of collection agents across Nigeria's 774 local councils.
