Nextalia backs Plastic Legno and Resaplast to build Italian food packaging group
Private equity manager Nextalia Investment Management, investing on behalf of its Nextalia Capitale Rilancio fund, has agreed a strategic partnership with Italian rigid food packaging maker Plastic Legno and the Sunino family group. The deal carves a dedicated food-packaging perimeter out of Sunino Group, combining Plastic Legno with Sunino's Resaplast unit, to build a European-scale player through organic growth and acquisitions in a fragmented market. The Sunino family keeps a strategic stake, with Paolo Sunino remaining chief executive; completion is expected by the end of 2026.
