Voith starts up 700,000-tonne packaging paper machine for Sun Paper in China
Voith has commissioned PM 47, a new packaging paper machine at Sun Paper's Yanzhou site in Shandong, China, with an annual design capacity of 700,000 tonnes and an 8.66 metre wire width. The machine reached its maximum operating speed of 1,400 m/min within 10 days of start-up, which Voith says makes it among the fastest multi-fourdrinier packaging paper machines worldwide.
