Celulosa Argentina narrows quarterly loss by 87% but remains in insolvency proceedings
Celulosa Argentina, under preventive insolvency proceedings since September 2025, reported a comprehensive loss of ARS 14,196.2m for the quarter to 31 August 2026, about 87% less than the ARS 109,432m lost a year earlier. Consolidated revenue rose 59% to ARS 46,729.7m and output rose 288% to 22,654 tonnes after the mills restarted following the 2025 stoppage. The company still faces restricted access to credit and high energy costs, and has been paying wages in instalments.
Why this mattersWith output almost quadrupled but a gross loss still recorded, Celulosa Argentina's recovery as a domestic supplier of paper, tissue and eucalyptus pulp remains unproven.
