Ence posts over EUR 10m Q3 net profit on hardwood pulp price recovery
Ence reported net profit of over EUR 10m (USD 11m) for the third quarter of 2026, its second consecutive profitable quarter, while its nine-month net loss narrowed to EUR 6.9m (USD 7.7m) from EUR 22m (USD 25m) a year earlier. The Spanish pulp and renewable energy group cited higher short-fibre pulp (BHKP) prices, which averaged EUR 1,195 (USD 1,334) per tonne in the quarter, up 35% year on year, and renewable energy EBITDA that nearly tripled from the second quarter.
Why this mattersA sustained hardwood pulp price recovery is restoring margins at market pulp producers and raising fibre costs for tissue and paper makers that buy BHKP.
