HB-Therm launches Flow-6 flow measurement system for mould cooling
HB-Therm has launched Flow-6, a water-based flow measurement and control device for injection moulding temperature control circuits, using an ultrasonic measurement system it developed in-house. The product, unveiled at Fakuma 2026, is available as a monitoring-only or controlled version, with active flow control due to be enabled by software update in March 2027.
Why this mattersThe device can reduce the number of temperature control units needed per mould, offering injection moulders a lower-cost route to more stable, energy-efficient cooling.
- Flow-6 uses a maintenance-free ultrasonic measurement system to monitor and control mould temperature circuits
- Available in four, six or eight-circuit versions rated for fluid temperatures up to 100, 160 or 180 degrees C
- Market launch of monitoring functions is September 2026, with a software update adding operating and integration functions due November 2026
- Active flow control function is scheduled to be enabled via software update in March 2027
- Measurement range is 0.4 to 40 litres per minute per circuit, with a lifetime warranty on measurement sections
- HB-Therm is presenting the product at Fakuma 2026, Hall A4, Booth 4205
