hubergroup launches Gecko CyclOne nitrocellulose-free ink range

hubergroup Print Solutions has launched Gecko CyclOne, a nitrocellulose-free (NC-free) liquid ink system for frontal, reverse and lamination printing on flexible packaging. The polyurethane-based range is designed to support recyclable packaging and complements the company's existing Gecko Platinum and Gecko Xtreme White NC-free lines, which build on PU-based products the company first introduced in 2015.

Why this mattersConverters face pressure to move away from NC- and PVC-based inks for recyclability, and PU-based drop-in alternatives can ease that transition without major process changes.

• Gecko CyclOne is a nitrocellulose-free liquid ink system for frontal, reverse and lamination printing, based on proprietary polyurethane technology.
