Indorama Ventures and Rebhan launch glass-look PET for cosmetics packaging

Indorama Ventures and Rebhan have jointly developed a new PET grade, Luxyclear EBM PET 5508, designed to give extrusion blow-moulded cosmetics bottles a thick-walled, high-clarity glass-like appearance while retaining PET's lower weight and impact resistance. The material is already commercially available in Europe, the US and Asia, and is offered in virgin, up to 100 percent chemically recycled, and mass-balance certified renewable-feedstock versions.
