Kazakhstan sets rules for producers to prove 30% recycled content under EPR
Kazakhstan's Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources approved rules, by order of 6 October 2026, on how producers of oils, polymer, glass, paper and board packaging and batteries confirm that at least 30% of their inputs are the corresponding waste processed in Kazakhstan, under the extended producer responsibility regime. Producers must file evidence with the EPR operator every six months, including environmental permits, a technological regulation and records of waste collection, weighing, transport and processing.
