Koenig & Bauer names new head of sheetfed packaging segment

Koenig & Bauer has appointed Christian Steinmaßl as CEO of its paper and packaging sheetfed systems segment, effective 1 January 2027, succeeding Markus Weiß. Weiß, who has led the segment since February 2025, is leaving the group to pursue ventures outside the company, with the pair overseeing an orderly handover through the rest of the financial year.

• Steinmaßl joined Koenig & Bauer's group management in December 2024
• He currently oversees global procurement, the production network and the digital and webfed, vision and protection, and Kyana business units
• Weiß is leaving to pursue entrepreneurial ventures outside the group
• The two executives will work together for the rest of the current financial year to ensure an orderly transition
