Lotte Chilsung Beverage said on 17 September 2026 that its Chilsung Cider 500 mL bottle made from 100% recycled PET (MR-PET) has received South Korea's low-carbon product certification, the first such award for an MR-PET bottle. The company now holds low-carbon certification for 12 of its 19 environmentally declared products, including two 640 mL soju PET bottles.
