Papel Prensa moves to 75-tonne truck combinations for wood supply to San Pedro mill
Papel Prensa has begun using bitren truck combinations of up to 75 tonnes to haul forestry raw material from the Teodelina area of southern Santa Fe province to its San Pedro mill in Buenos Aires province. The Santa Fe provincial government authorised the corridor on Route 94 to the Buenos Aires border under Resolution 1027/2025, part of a freight-cost-reduction programme that officials say will extend to further corridors toward Gran Rosario ports.
Why this mattersHeavier combinations cut per-tonne wood freight cost for the San Pedro mill in a market where freight can reach a third of final product value.
