PETCORE Europe and KÖR launch shared PET food contact safety data platform

PETCORE EUROPE and KÖR have launched GeNi, a neutral industry-wide platform to consolidate interlaboratory testing data on food contact substances in PET packaging. The initiative aims to harmonise fragmented testing methods across the value chain as recycled-content targets rise and regulatory scrutiny of packaging chemicals intensifies. KÖR will manage data collection, anonymisation and analysis, while PETCORE EUROPE leads the initiative.
