Petkim picks Univation PE technology for planned Turkish resin complex
Petkim Petrokimya Holding has selected Univation's UNIPOL PE Process technology for a planned polyethylene complex at its Aliaga-Izmir site in Türkiye, ahead of a final investment decision. The project envisages 850,000 tonnes a year of licensed PE capacity across two 425 kTA swing reactor lines, which Univation describes as one of the largest PE technology licences awarded in Türkiye.
Why this mattersAdded domestic PE capacity would affect resin availability and import dependence for Turkish and regional flexible and rigid plastic packaging converters.
