SIG opens EUR 90m aseptic carton plant in India

SIG has opened its first aseptic carton production plant in India, a EUR 90m facility in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, built in 20 months. The plant has initial capacity of up to 4 billion packs a year and employs more than 300 people, supplying dairy and non-carbonated soft drink fillers. SIG's board has also approved a further EUR 50m for a local extrusion line due to start by 2027.
