Sun Paper has approved a further USD 745m (CNY 5.0bn) investment at its Nanning Liujing industrial park in Guangxi, China, adding unbleached chemical wood pulp and specialty paper lines and retiring older high-energy equipment. The upgrade lifts the site's pulp and paper capacity from 4.05m tonnes to 5.15m tonnes a year. Sun Paper's cumulative investment in Guangxi over seven years reaches USD 6.38bn (CNY 42.8bn).
