Arburg shows automated Domino production cell built on Hasco/Polar-Form mould

Arburg will present a turnkey automated production cell at Fakuma 2026 based on the Domino family mould jointly developed with Hasco and Polar-Form, first unveiled at K 2025. An Allrounder More 2000 machine runs a 32-cavity hot-runner mould with a 3D-printed hot runner to produce two-coloured ABS dominoes, with a new upstream cobot cell packing the finished parts into boxes. Arburg is acting as general contractor for the full system.

Why this mattersThe exhibit shows how injection moulders now bundle multi-component mould design, machine and end-of-line packing into single automated cells for customers.

  • Allrounder More 2000 (2,000 kN clamping force) produces 32 two-coloured ABS dominoes per cycle of about 60 seconds
  • Mould from Polar-Form and Hasco uses a 32-cavity hot-runner design with additive-manufactured, 3D-printed interlaced runners, first shown as a concept at K 2025
  • Domino family mould project is jointly developed by Hasco, Arburg and Polar-Form as an alternative to cube moulds and rotary tables
  • A two-stage core pull concept replaces conventional mould rotation for the two-component process
  • A Multilift V 30 robot (30 kg capacity) removes finished parts; an autonomous cobot then pre-assembles boxes and packs and closes them
  • System shown at Fakuma 2026, Hall A3, Stand 3101
